Hello, I’m John Edgar, a traditional stained glass craftsman based in Over Peover, in Cheshire.
My journey into stained glass began over 18 years ago, driven by an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of storytelling through glass.
What started as a hobby turned into a lifelong vocation, and today, I create bespoke stained glass windows, panels, and restorations for homes, places of worship, and heritage buildings.
Each commission I make is designed and hand-crafted with care, using time-honoured techniques, and traditional high quality materials. Passionate about the finer details, I have a deep respect for the medium of stained glass. I draw my inspiration from architecture, the natural world, and the rich heritage of stained glass artistry across the UK.
From an initial, obligation free quotation through to completion and installation, I will be there to guide and advise you.
My goal is to create something lasting and meaningful, that can be enjoyed today and by future generations.

We asked John to refurbish the stained-glass windows prior to encapsulation and repair some broken panes in the front door. We could not be more pleased with the result. The windows now sparkle as they must have done when they were first installed. Also, it is difficult to distinguish the panes that he had to replace, the colour match was exceptional. I can thoroughly recommend his craftsmanship and his friendly professional manner.
